Vacation at sea

Allow Yourself a relaxation and a small adventure by booking a freighter cruise trip. Expect pure nature, modern technology, comfortable cabins and direct contact to ships command (German) and crew.

You don't need an evening dress or a smoking to enjoy your daily "Captain's Dinner". You may nearly everytime visit the commando bridge or the engine room. You can relax in a deck chair. Read a good book and breathe the salty air of the seas. Enjoy the never ending twilight of the northern hemisphere during summer time or the tingling cold of the Baltic Winter when vessel is cruising through frozen waters. Have a complete break far away from phone and daily hectic. Sleep as long as You want or get up early in the morning to enjoy the beautyful sunrises at sea.

The fleet: Presently our company is operating for the tourism two modern container vessels.  MS „Arctic Fox" and MS „Arctic Ocean" were built in 1995/96. They are equiped with latest navigation and communication devices (if You nevertheless have to phone). This vessels have a deadweight of 8002 tons and are able to carry up to 660 standard containers.

Accommodation

Every vessel has specially designed and equiped passenger cabins with outside window located on the 2nd main deck (A-Deck) starboard and port side. Cabins are furnished with a fixed bunk (bed) and a fold away bunk (when booked two person in one cabin), a cosy couch with table, a refrigerator and a wardrobe. Private bath room with shower and lavatory is part of every passenger cabin.

Meals

Traditionally there are served 3 hot meals a day. You enjoy the meals together with captain and officers in the officers mess room. Coffee and tea are for free whenever You like. Soft drinks and beverages as well as alcoholic drinks are available in a limited quantity from captain. If You have special wishes so let us now in beforehand so that we can arrange for.

Clothing

As already mentioned before You don't need an evening dress but please remember that at sea it may be always a little bit chilly even in summer. Weatherproof clothing won't harm.

Travel documents

Please have a passport with a least 6 month of validity with You when joining the ship. Please bear in mind that it is necessary to request a visa for the case you will leave the vessel in St. Petersburg for a short sightseeing. You will get it with the Russian Embassy / Consulate and it costs approx. 50 Euro/person.

For passengers from 71 years of age and older an adequate health certificate is required.

Trips ashore

Trips ashore will have to be organized by the passengers themselves.
The possibility to leave the vessel for a sightseeing in the harbours depends on the shipment requirements and information about it is not binding. They vary between some hours and some days and vary from voyage to voyage. Mostly the vessel will stay for 10-14 hours.

Journey towards vessel

The costs for arrival and departure are not included in the fare.
You can travel towards embarking port by means of private car or train. In some ports You may park Your car near the container terminal where the vessel is alongside.
We will stay in contact with You by phone during the last days before the departure so that we may be able to announce You the respective current embarkation time. The closer the date of departure the more exact will the information be. In the past it was successful to contact the master directly on the date of departure. Therefore we will advice You the telephone number in time.

Prices

Normally the voyage takes 1 week but the payment is on a per-day-basis.
The prices are as follows:
Euro 60,00 per day and person (adult) when booked 2 persons in one cabin
Euro 80,00 per day and person (adult) when booked 1 person in one cabin
Plus Passenger Diversion Insurance  Euro 45,00 per person per voyage
There are two cabins on board, the prices are identical.
Prices include board and lodging (softdrinks and alcohol not included).
Payment is cash to master in Euro or shortly before with bank transfer.
